Need to vent! The season finale of "Avatar: The Legend of Korra" was somewhat disappointing!

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" is one of my favorite animated series ever; it has a great/epic story, interesting characters, and lots of meaningful character development. One can only imagine how excited I was when they decided to release a sequel of sorts "Avatar: The Legend of Korra."

I just finished watching the season finale of the latter series, and well... it was such a let down. Really sad because the story of "Korra" had so much potential for development, and could have even surpassed its predecessor. However, the last couple of episodes had quite a few cases of deus ex machina and some plot holes, which I felt deflated the 'epicness' of the series and belittled the amazing events leading up to the finale.

The only justification I can come up with is that "Korra" only had 12 episodes to portray and wrap up the story, and there just wasn't enough time to flesh out the plot and the characters, as opposed to the "The Last Airbender" which had about 60 episodes to do the same.

Oh well... overall "Korra" was still enjoyable to watch, though the season finale could have been handled better. Sorry about the rant as it's probably meaningless to y'all, but I am really feeling 'underwhelmed' at the moment.

Other News: Read about 400+ pages from "A Storm of Swords". Still haven't watched the last two episodes of Game of Thrones, or any of the recent Naruto episodes!
