LOL about the frogs. You're right... I've never thought that frogs could actually become one of the 'cooler' animal species.
BTW, were you able to fix the subtitle problem on your TV?

ReplyDeleteOmg, I was disturbed for so many reasons...Jiraya dying...and the way they started that episode of sucking the 6 tails out of the guy who used to blow bubbles (I think that's one of the creepiest things i've seen EVER, horror movies included) then the whole VILLAGE blowing up....and bloody hell..Kakashi...I wanted to beat my head against the wall when I saw that...but all is well now (im on ep 178) so I'm somewhat less disturbed (As long as I don't think about the sudden way they killed the bubble boy)
The subtitle issue...ffdshow is too advanced for me to use, and I tried the other suggestions to no avail...the problem mysteriously fixed itself though, the last 20 ep or so, I can see the subtitles pretty well :)
How's fasting going?
Jiraiya' death was one of the most saddest scenes in Naruto... he was awesome.

- how Kakashi got his Sharingan?
The lack of Internet drove me crazy... We were actually switching from the Mobily Connect to STC DSL... but there were a series of problems... long story.
Fasting's going good! What about yours?
4th Hokage : I suspected it for a long while now ever since they started showing his pictures on the walls, etc....He looked exactly like Naruto and plus Naruto's parents are never ever mentioned, so it only made sense...I was so happy that Naruto got to know the truth after he met his father during the time he almost broke the seal...
ReplyDeleteItachi twist : Oh mannnnnnnn that was sad too : / What a shock though, i didn't see that coming at ALL...Suske on the other hand...I dunno, he makes me sick...he spent ALL of his time obsessed about extracting vengeance ON his brother...and oh what a surprise, he seems to be spending the next half obsessed with extracting vengeance FOR his brother...the guy literally has no capacity to occupy his mind and ambitions with anything else...
Kakashi's Sharingan: TOTAL shock...I initially thought he might be somewhat related to the Uchiha clan...It was very sad though, the way he got it, but I'm glad he did...
I loved the twist of Naruto being able to convince Pain to allow him to bring peace in his own way...didn't see that one coming at all on account of how destructive Pain was...same goes for when Pain spent the last of his chakra resurrecting the people he had killed...
BTW...Hinata ROCKS for doing what she did to try and defend Naruto....what a strong woman...it made me misty-eyed :)

Yeah... it eventually becomes obvious that the Fourth was Naruto's dad; those two were the only ones in Konoha with blue eyes, and blonde + spiky hair.
ReplyDeleteAbout Itachi... very sad.... however, I keep thinking did he absolutely have to kill ALL members of the Uchiha Clan? I mean what about children and the elderly... weren't they innocent? Couldn't Konoha just have arrested the members who were planning the coup d'etat instead of killing them.
About Sasuke... I echo your sentiments about him. Initially, I was very disappointed that he defected from Konoha during episodes 133-135, and in Shippuden I saw just a tiny bit of good in him (remember when he told his team to fight but not kill).... so I was hopeful. But after the Itachi incident, he turned into a downright bitch. Excuse my language… but he is! He wants to destroy Konoha and everyone in it, when practically no one there knows the truth about Itachi and the Uchiha clan. Remember you mentioned earlier that Sasuke would go as far as to destroy a whole village or something. Having said that, I still feel that Sasuke's character is one of the key reasons why the anime is so compelling.
Uchiha Obito's death... my tear ducts had turned into a water faucet when I had watched that scene. His sacrifice was so sad and simply amazing. Even Asuma’s death was somewhat sad, though I felt sorrier for Shikamaru. I really like his character too… lazy but a genius.
Pain/Jiraiya/Naruto's story arc was amazing too. I really enjoyed the fight between Naruto and Pain; Naruto looks so awesome when he's in sage mode, and I love that fact that he's so powerful now. About Hinata... I totally agree with you (yeah I teared up in that scene as well..) Even though she might not have been a very powerful ninja, she was the only one who had the courage to go down and try to save Naruto. And what was Sakura doing? Just watching... she's still useless imo.
LOL... who was the one that searched on youtube along with Jafooly the top 10 reasons why Naruto sucks? Do you understand now why I love this anime? LOLLL!!!!!!! The plot is incredible, the characters are compelling, and story is just so deep/epic. I love that bit where the characters are asked who the King is, and they keep answering the Hokage or the Feudal Lord, but eventually realize that the people yet to be born in Konoha are the true ‘King’.
I think I’m done ranting…
