Sorry it took me ages to reply. You know the thing is... I'm quite frustrated at my situation. What I mean is... when you exercise, it shows on your body and your weight actually decreases. So good for you!
ReplyDeleteBut for me, it's a different story. Fine I'll admit that I've not been exercising on a daily basis, but at least I am doing SOMETHING!!!!! About 40 min each day (huffing and puffing), and eating regular homemade food. But I ended up gaining around 2 kilos. This really has upset me... and the worst part is that the exercise machine is on the verge of breaking down.
I don't get it though! Even if you are doing 40 mins 4 times a week, there should be loss...hmm...okay...you lose a lot when you go to pakistan right? What was goin' on there that was different?
ReplyDeleteHappy Ramadan, btw! ^^
I'm not sure about Pakistan... perhaps the fact I was younger then, and I guess the food there is definitely more organic.
ReplyDeleteOh well... My mum tells me that it took me 20+ years to put on that excess weight, so don't expect a miracle within 20 days. She's like, "Just don't give up and don't worry about the weight at all, and only concentrate on exercising regularly at the moment."
Enough about that, what's new at your end? Exercising? And Happy Ramadan to you as well!
Your mum is right too :( When I don't see fast results I tell myself "Well Sony, you ass, you didn't gain these extra kgs overnight, they ain't gonna go away overnight either"
ReplyDeleteYeah, but the weird thing about Pakistan is that, man, i ate totally unhealthy over there but i still gained those extra 10 after comin here even though over here I eat way healthier AND exercise....So ive no idea what it is really about the place..the water? the air? and yeah..you're right...could be that I was younger then.
I'm doin good...Rays is comin soon, im so excited about that...bhai should be comin at the same time....Going to try and finish the Quran (in english) this ramadan...I'm not exercisin everyday but I guess on average ive been running (recently) or swimming (before) a few times a week....
Ohh Nawshy..breaking bad is good :) I'm likin the downward spiral they show :)
Also...Wot news of the red wedding??
I am in complete agreement with you about Pakistan; something is definitely strange about the air and water there that makes you lose weight no matter what. Oh well... we'll have to make do with KSA.
ReplyDeleteGood to know you'll have company over soon... at least you won't be bored over the rest of the vacation.
Sadly, I don't find much time to relax these days... many reasons. Apparently there's a new rule in KSA that says that they won't renew iqamas for boys over 21... so my brother is kinda in trouble, and might have to move to Pakistan permanently. Obviously, my parents are very upset about this and my dad is trying his best to somehow transfer his iqama under a different kafeel. Since I feel sorry for his situation, I've been cooking and baking lots of non-Pakistani food for him. I can't count the number of times I've made homemade pizza, pasta, quiche etc. (he eats most of it so there is hardly anything left for me and Nav... but it's good as we don't need to put on any more weight!) Furthermore, Nav bought a new laptop and my bro's laptop is busted... so I had been busy trying to tweak and fix both their machines.
I haven't been able to watch anything recently, but I did manage to start Breaking Bad (episode 2)... it seems quite interesting. Game of Thrones is on hold at the moment... so no Red Wedding yet. :(
It's nice to see that you'll try to finish the Quran in English over Ramadan. I'm 'off' at the moment, but Insha'Allah... I will also do my best to finish it.
